Johnson Matthey Poured Silver Bar 50 Troy oz. These silver bullion bars are made by Johnson Matthey, a refiner that had been in business since 1817. Renowned the world over for the quality of their products and the reputation that endured for nearly 200 years, the company was sold to Asahi of Japan in 2015. The Johnson Matthey name was retired and the new products are labelled Asahi.
These 50 oz Johnson Matthey Bars are .999 Fine Silver, poured in a loaf shape with lots of character (cooling marks and ripples) by Johnson Matthey of Canada.
While the 100 oz bars are very common, the 50 oz bars are not often seen.
