It is hard to believe that 100 years ago Argentina was one of the wealthiest countries in the world, but under Juan Peron the government started a series of economic blunders that involved everything from nationalizing industry, massive government spending and eventually ruinous inflation.

We have managed to secure a small number of these beautiful coins, all dated in the 1880's, in Uncirculated condition.
