A-Mark Precious Metals, Inc began minting the Liberty Pure Silver round in 1983 to meet the needs of investors looking for silver bullion in smaller sizes. The Liberty met almost instant success with the demand often outstripping the supply.
We have a limited number of the early style Liberty rounds, unlike the new style with no dates and a flat, annealed finish, these have the year of mintage and proof-like mirrored fields.
The obverse design features America’s national symbol, The American Eagle with arrows in its talons and surrounded by thirteen stars representing the original thirteen colonies. The date is either side of the Eagle. The reverse depicts the historic Liberty Bell and the words, “Life, Liberty, Happiness” above the bell and the A-Mark logo with .999 Pure Silver below.
