The bars are struck, not poured, and have a nice matte finish, not proof-like but nice shiny surfaces. When new they were sealed in a plastic sleeve to protect them from fingerprints and incidental damage.
A-Mark discontinued minting their own branded products quite a few years ago and they are no longer available new. The ones in stock are no longer in plastic.
