The Perth Mint introduced the highly popular Kookaburra series in 1990, and was the first coin in the world with a design that changed every year.

When first introduced it had a face value of 5 Australian Dollars, but in 1992 switched to $1. The coins contain 1 Troy oz of .999 fine silver, and feature proof-like finishes.

We have a limited number of these 1992 Kookaburras, all are in the original mint acrylic holders and are in beautiful condition, with no toning whatsoever. Look around online, if you can find any for sale check for toning. Most have it.
