Product Description

1980 American Arts Commemorative Series Gold medallion celebrating the life of Marian Anderson.

Marian Anderson was an African-American opera singer who was widely credited with helping break down color barriers in the musical arts.

This medallion was struck by the U.S. Mint in .900 fine gold, containing exactly 0.5 Troy oz gold and 0.055 Troy oz of copper. Total weight is 0.555 Troy oz.

Medallion comes with original mint packaging, which is not very impressive (styrofoam? What were they thinking?). In excellent condition.
