This bar is likely from the 1960s or very early 1970s as they started making struck bars in the 1970s. Bar is marked Engelhard inside the famous cut-corner rectangle, with the weight and fineness above.
Engelhard stopped producing retail precious metals in the late 1980s, and the corporation was sold to BASF in 2006.
