The Sydney 2000 Olympic Gold Proof set has been the most enduring collectible of any modern Olympic games, for good reason. The limited number of sets struck meant that demand was never fulfilled, and the designs and quality of the proof strikes by the Perth Mint are outstanding.
Each of the eight coins in this set is struck in 9999 fine gold, weighs 10.021 grams (0.322 troy oz for a total of 2.575 troy oz of gold) and features Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse with a different Olympic themed design on the reverse.
Set comes with original Australian Jarrah presentation case, each coin originally came with its own certificate of authenticity, 3 have been lost.
