1999 US Mint Proof State Quarters Set

When the US Mint started the State Quarters series they unleashed a tsunami of interest in coin collecting, and had severely underestimated the demand for the initial proof sets. Consequently the Mint quickly sold out, and sets of these new coins were re-selling for much more than the Mint's retail price. A full set of the 1999 US Mint Silver Proofs (9 coins) peaked at over $500 and currently sells for nearly $340!

This lot is the first set of 5 state quarters (Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, and Connecticut) and are in beautiful condition. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity and cardboard box. Acrylic holder is in excellent condition, box is in good shape.
