1997-P United States Botanic Garden Commemorative Silver Dollar in original mint packaging, which includes acrylic coin holder, box and certificate of authenticity.

Commemorates the United States Botanic Garden, a living museum of flowers and plants established in Washington, D.C., by the founding fathers.

The obverse design depicts the French facade of the U.S. Botanic Garden, and the reverse features a rose, America’s national flower.

This proof $1 Dollar silver coin was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. It is made the same composition and size as the old (pre-1936) Silver Dollars- 90% silver, 10% copper, 38.5mm diameter and containing 0.7734 Troy oz of silver.
