1986 Australian Gold Nugget Proof Set
Product Description
This was the inaugural Australian Nugget Proof Set, and includes the 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz Nugget coins in .9999 pure gold (total of 1.85 Troy oz of Gold).
Set is beautiful, all coins encased in acrylic holders and set in blue velvet box. The One ounce and the 1/10th oz have some minor orange spots, which is unfortunately quite common with pure gold coins.
Each coin has a representation of one of the famous nuggets found in Australian gold mines. The One Ounce coin features the 'Welcome Stranger' nugget, the 1/2 oz 'Hand of Faith', 1/4 oz is 'Golden Eagle' and the 1/10 oz has 'Little Hero'.
Set includes blue leatherette display box, cardboard outer sleeve, no certificate of authenticity.
