Product Description

1947-49 Mexican 1 Peso silver coins. These coins are minted of .500 fine silver, and contain 0.2251 troy oz of silver each.

The obverse features an eagle clutching a snake perched on a prickly pear cactus, around the edge is “ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS”.

The reverse design features the bust of Jose Morelos. Around the edge is inscribed “UN PESO” the date of issue and "14 G. 0.500". In between the date and the weight is the Mexico City Mint mark “Mo”.
