1881-S US Morgan Silver Dollar NGC MS-63
1881-S US Morgan Silver Dollar, graded MS-63 by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). The 1881 San Francisco Morgan is a "common date", and with a MS-63 grading is very affordable, not a super tough grade that costs a lot (the MS-64 is 50% more expensive).
The Morgan Dollar was minted from 1878 to 1904, but minting was suspended until 1921 as there were too many in circulation. It was then replaced by the Peace Dollar, which was itself discontinued after 1935.
The Morgan Dollar contains 0.7734 Troy Oz of silver (90% silver alloyed with 10% copper).
