2009-P Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Silver Dollar Proof.

Minted to commemorate the 200th anniversary of his birth, the Abe Lincoln Silver Dollars honor the great president who led the country during the Civil War.

The obverse portrays Lincoln, and was inspired by Daniel Chester French’s famous sculpture of the President inside the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., while the reverse is inscribed with the final words of the Gettysburg Address, within a laurel wreath.

This proof $1 Dollar silver coin was struck at the Philadelphia Mint. It is made the same composition and size as the old (pre-1936) Silver Dollars- 90% silver, 10% copper, 38.5mm diameter and containing 0.7734 Troy oz of silver.

Includes all original U.S. Mint packing materials- acrylic coin holder, display box and certificate of authenticity.
