This 1991-S Mount Rushmore Commemorative 2 Coin Proof set commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of Mount Rushmore National Park.

The obverse of the Dollar depicts the Mount Rushmore Memorial wreathed in laurel, while the reverse features the Heraldic Eagle Crest over a map of the United States.

The proof $1 Dollar silver coin was struck at the San Francisco Mint. It is made the same composition and size as the old (pre-1936) Silver Dollars- 90% silver, 10% copper, 38.5mm diameter and containing 0.7734 Troy oz of silver.

The Half Dollar is "clad" (92% copper in the core and 8% nickel faces) with a diameter of 30.61mm and a weight of 11.34 grams.

Includes all original U.S. Mint packing materials- acrylic coin holders, display box and certificate of authenticity.
