Product Description

Eisenhower Dollars were struck to commemorate Dwight D. Eisenhower, who died in 1969, and the Apollo 11 moon landing of the same year. It was minted for only a seven year period. The coins were often saved as mementos of Eisenhower and never saw much circulation outside of casinos.

Not intended for circulation, this coin was struck at the San Francisco Mint in 40% silver (contains 0.3162 Troy oz of silver) and sold to collectors. As it was originally sold in blue packaging it acquired the nickname "Blue Ike".

This coin has been graded MS-67 by PCGS.
