1970 Panama Silver 5 Balboas BU
This coin was issued by the Republic of Panama to commemorate the 9th Central American and Caribbean Games of 1970.
On the front it has the coat of arms and the words "Republica de Panama" over the coat of arms, and the Silver content "Ley 0.925" and value under it. On the back, it has the figure of a Greek Olympian throwing a discus and the words "XI Juegos De Portivo Centro Americanos y Del Caribe - Panama 1970"
The coin has a diameter of 39 mm (1.53 inches) and weighs 35.12 grams, of which 92.5% is Silver. The net amount of silver is 1.045 Troy oz.
Comes encased in plastic on a card that doubles as a COA. Coin was minted by the Franklin Mint. Coin is in beautiful, like new condition, cardboard holder is a little creased and worn in spots.
