Issued from 1966 to 1974, this proof coin was issued by the Republic of Panama in 1967.

Modeled after the U.S. Silver Dollar, the coin composition is .900 Fine Silver, weighs 26.73 grams with a diameter of 38 mm, actual silver content is 0.7735 Troy oz.

The obverse features the Panamanian Coat of Arms, while the reverse depicts Vasco Nunez de Balboa who was the first European to see the Eastern part of the Pacific Ocean in 1513.

Proof strike, in like-new condition with no toning or visible scratches.
