Product Description

1964 Mint Set in Capital holder. Starting in 1947 the Treasury Department began selling special sets of Uncirculated coins to the public. While these were not proofs, they were a better deal because they included coins from each of the mints.

This set includes Uncirculated coins from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, and is the last year that the Half, Quarter and Dime were struck in 90% silver. It is also the first year of the Kennedy Half.

Holder is showing some wear, some of the coins show toning but all are in Excellent Uncirculated condition.
